Taxi Drivers Announce New 24-Hour Strike – Protests Continue

Taxi drivers in Cyprus are continuing their protests with a new 24-hour strike, starting today Tuesday at 6 am and ending tomorrow Wednesday at 6 am. The Pan-Cypriot Taxi and Urban Transport Association (POAT) states that there has been no response or proposal for a meeting from the relevant authorities following the previous work stoppage. If there is no positive response, POAT warns of an indefinite strike next Tuesday, January 27th. Taxi drivers have organized meeting points at Larnaca and Paphos airports, as well as in Limassol.
