Taxi Drivers 'Pull the Handbrake' for 24 Hours Today

Taxi drivers in Cyprus have announced a 24-hour strike, lasting from 6:00 AM on Tuesday to 6:00 AM on Wednesday. This strike follows a four-hour work stoppage on January 13th and is due to the lack of response from relevant authorities to their demands. The Pan-Cypriot Confederation of Urban Taxi Drivers (POAT) states that if their requests are not considered, they will proceed with an indefinite strike from January 27th. The strike will affect taxi services at Larnaca and Paphos airports, as well as in Limassol, where the work stoppage will take place at the Potamos Germasogeias parking area.
