T/C Press: RTK Calls for Early “Parliamentary Elections” on April 26

The Republican Turkish Party (RTP) has submitted a proposal for early “parliamentary elections” in the occupied territories on April 26, citing the need for political change. The party leader, Sila Usar Incirli, criticized the National Unity Party (UBP) for delaying the work of the “parliament”. Ms. Incirli stated that the current situation in the occupied territories is difficult due to recent revelations of irregularities, such as cases of forged degrees and arrests of “administration” officials. The RTP argues that resorting to the polls is necessary to overcome the current impasse and calls for an investigation into corruption cases so that responsibilities can be assigned.
