Thieves Using Oranges to Steal Cars - What You Need to Know

Authorities are warning drivers about a new car theft method involving oranges. Thieves are placing oranges with nails in the road, aiming to puncture the tires of cars that run over them. When the driver stops to check the tire, the thieves take the opportunity to enter the vehicle and steal personal belongings. Although this method hasn't been reported in Greece yet, drivers are urged to be cautious and avoid parking in isolated or dark areas. If a tire damage is suspected, it is recommended to stop in a safe and well-lit location and call for roadside assistance.
