Tourism Revenue in Greece Increases by 12.4% in October, 15% in the First Ten Months of 2025

Tourism revenue in Greece increased by 12.4% in October 2025 compared to October 2024, reaching €458.6 million. This increase contributed to an overall 15% rise in tourism revenue for the ten-month period of January-October 2025, totaling €3.4314 billion. Despite the increase in total revenue, per capita tourist expenditure decreased by 4% in October, reaching €852.80 compared to €888.47 the previous year. This suggests that while more people visited the country, they spent less money on average. British tourists remain the largest market, accounting for 31.4% of all tourists in October, with an average daily expenditure of €108.42. They are followed by Israelis (11.1% of the total) with €132.12 and Germans (7.8% of the total) with €111.79 per day. These figures come from the Statistical Service and are based on the Travel Survey. The continued increase in tourism revenue provides a significant boost to the Greek economy, despite the challenges related to per capita expenditure.
