U.S. State Department Issues Travel Advisory for Cyprus, Authorizing Departure Due to Security Risks

The U.S. State Department has issued guidance for U.S. citizens in Cyprus, advising them to reconsider their travel plans and depart the country if their presence is not essential, due to security risks amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. Non-essential U.S. government personnel and their families have been authorized to leave Cyprus. This move follows increased security levels for other countries in the region, including Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. U.S. citizens have already been advised to depart more than a dozen countries in the region.
