US Strikes Under Trump's First Year Match Biden's Four Years, NGO Reports

A count by the NGO ACLED showed that US air strikes during Donald Trump's first year in office (2025) were nearly equal to the number of strikes during Joe Biden's four years (2021-2025). Specifically, Trump carried out 672 air strikes, while Biden conducted 694. Trump has surpassed Biden in unilateral strikes, with 587 compared to 494. Most of the strikes occurred in Yemen, followed by Somalia, Nigeria, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and the Caribbean. These operations have resulted in the deaths of over 1,000 people, including civilians. ACLED expresses concerns about the increase in strikes and the move away from international law.
