We Will Face This Difficult Circumstance Together, President Said in Meeting with Dendias

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, met with the Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, at the Presidential Palace, where they discussed the current situation and the need for a joint response to the challenges. President Christodoulides expressed the gratitude of the Cypriot people for Greece's immediate response to the request for assistance, emphasizing that Greece is paving the way for European support. Minister Dendias assured that Greece will provide any assistance it can to Cyprus, stating its intention to support Cyprus within its capabilities. He also emphasized that Greece will work to convince the European Union to respond to the needs of Cyprus. Cyprus and Greece agreed that they will continue to cooperate to address common challenges and take advantage of opportunities, emphasizing that their cooperation serves as an example for the European Union. President Christodoulides also referred to contacts with other leaders of the European Union, such as the French President, the German Chancellor, and the Italian Prime Minister. Both sides expressed their confidence that the difficult circumstances will be tackled together and underlined the importance of cooperation to safeguard the interests of Cyprus and Greece in the region.
