What the Presidential Palace Says About Fuel-Tourism. “The Situation is Constantly Being Assessed”

The Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, addressed issues of fuel and tourism, responding to questions regarding price increases and the impact of the regional crisis. He emphasized that the situation is constantly being assessed and that Cyprus is in a good position compared to other EU countries regarding fuel prices. He also mentioned that the electricity subsidy and the zero VAT rate on essential goods continue. Regarding tourism, he assured that normalcy in the country is maintained and that the majority of flight schedules have returned, except for areas directly affected by the crisis. The Government expresses optimism for this year's tourist season.
