Woman Injured in Gas Explosion in Strovolos, Cyprus

Last week, the Fire Service responded to a total of 203 incidents, including 105 urban fires, 13 wildfires, 3 traffic collisions, 18 rescues, and 64 citizen services. In the last 24 hours alone, the Service responded to 33 incidents, including 24 fires and 8 special services. A serious incident occurred in Strovolos, where a gas explosion in the kitchen of a two-story house caused damage and injured the owner, who was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department. Fires also broke out in a boiler in Palouriotissa and in a kitchen in Polemidia, with the owner of the latter being taken to the hospital as a precaution. Finally, a fire in abandoned materials in an abandoned house in Drouseia is being investigated by the Police.
