Yerokipou Municipality Launches 'Social Worker of the Neighborhood' Program

The Municipality of Yerokipou has joined the 'Social Worker of the Neighborhood' program to strengthen social services for its residents. The social worker will serve as a point of reference for providing free social support, facilitating access to services, identifying needs, and protecting vulnerable community members. The social worker's responsibilities include individual and family counseling, psychosocial support, management of social problems, information and referral to relevant services, as well as home visits. The program aims to provide immediate and flexible responses to social needs. The 'Social Worker of the Neighborhood' is part of the broader 'Restructuring of Social Welfare Services' project, which is funded by the EU's 'Thaleia 2021 – 2027' Cohesion Policy Program. The municipality's participation highlights its commitment to social welfare and supporting its citizens. Through the implementation of the program, the Municipality of Yerokipou seeks to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all residents, offering substantial assistance and guidance to those in need.
