Nighttime Police Raids Result in 8 Arrests, Dozens Test Positive for Alcohol and Drugs

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive preventative operations across the island, aiming to prevent criminal activity and increase public safety. During the operations, eight individuals were arrested for various offenses, while 19 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol and 15 tested positive for drugs. 595 vehicles and 796 individuals were checked, and 23 premises were inspected. 314 traffic fines were issued, with 188 for speeding. Six vehicles were impounded.
